Antique pine drawers

Can you believe this beauty was hidden beneath layers of sticky old white gloss?... the things we did to hide orangey pine from view. This is a solid antique pine chest of drawers with beautiful dovetail joints and fab brass handles. They don't make 'em like this anymore. It would certainly have been easier to paint over it but I couldn't resist exposing some of the beautiful woodgrain underneath.

I finished it with Annie Sloan chalk paint in Olive sealed with matt varnish for durability and chose a dark oak dye for the wood finish.
