Drinks o'clock

My client wanted this bar piece to fit in with their new home decor. The prep work took some time with layers of varnish and polish to remove. I wanted to make sure there wouldn't be any bleed through the top colour. I used Zinsser primer to before the top coat of Dulux in Tea Shop custom mixed in an eggshell finish. Beautiful paint to work with

The inside finish was originally quite orange particularly in contrast to the new colour. I sanded it back and finished it with wax to highlight the grain.

I love the surprise this piece hides inside, I'm sure it'll look even more impressive fully stocked.
