This piece needed a huge amount of work, without a doubt my toughest project to date.
I started out by removing the layers of varnish. It was then treated before the never ending task of sanding, filling and sanding began. Totally worth it.
Replaced the 4 legs, top spindles, all the damaged mirror and repaired the broken drawer.
Once the prep work was done it was time to get to the fun stuff. After a good undercoat I painted it with @frenchic in #dusky blush and hand painted the scroll detail. It's sealed with frenchic browning wax to give it some character and age.
I love the quirky details in this dresser from the slanted shelves on the mirror to the single centre door which is so unusual.
The perfect place to keep your blankets and check your reflection before you leave the house.
