One of the reasons I love this work is the story each piece holds. Where it came from, who it belonged to and the lives it was part of.
This handsome piece belonged to the grandfather of my client. He and his wife are building a new home and this piece will be part of it. What a lovely way to bring the memory of his grandfather with them as they set out on a new chapter in their lives.
It was in great shape when it arrived and aside from some small repairs to strengthen the drawers it was all about the decoration. I used the fabulous #loof by #Frenchic from #treacydecor applied with #twofussyblokes rollers and sealed with Frenchic #browning wax.
