This beauty didn't last long in the workshop before it was snapped up by a lovely couple who are currently building their new home.
Back in the day a sideboard like this would have had pride of place in any Irish home but times and trends change and they soon became a hold all for bits and pieces or they just ended up being in the way.
After stripping it back and treating it, it was time to make sure this beauty had a chance at a new chapter. I modernised it by removing the mouldings and curves to create clean lines and angles. With some new legs and handles she was ready to paint, I went for #Loof by #Frenchic applied with #twofussyblokes rollers and sealed it with #browning wax for a velvety finish. I replaced the door panels with some cane sheeting to create some contrast and add texture.
Definitely one of my biggest transformations to date, I hope you like it
