What a treasure this dresser is. Solid oak, original bevelled mirrors, dovetail joints and secret drawers. I picked this up on marketplace with the help of a fab friend that lived near the former owner and was happy to collect it (thanks @pinkypie x). I had so many ideas for it but once I started stripping it back and saw the beautiful solid wood and fabulous grain I couldn't bear to hide it again.
I white washed the larger panels using a 50:50 paint to water mix of #Frenchic #crèmedelacrème using #twofussyblokes rollers and waxed the bare wood with #ronseal brushing wax in medium oak. Both the paint and wax finishes allow the gorgeous woodgrain underneath to shine and give it a more modern look.
I wasn't mad about the original handles so I replaced them with handles I'd saved from another piece (never throw anything away).
This is the perfect addition to a master bedroom and the adjustable mirrors are great for seeing every angle when you're getting ready.
