Every so often it's good to challenge yourself and that's exactly what I did with this project.
This table and chairs was bought by my clients in 1994 and was starting to show the wear and tear of family life so they wanted to give it a refresh for the next chapter. It was a daunting task but I'm really happy with the results.
I sanded the wood back to the original surface and found it was a really light finish. The clients wanted to maintain the two tone effect between the frames and the surface. We chose #Frenchic #browningwax to show up the beautifully intricate wood grain and a lovely deep walnut wood stain for the frames to create the right contrast. To top it all off we reupholstered the seats with some beautiful new fabric.
This set is now gone home and the clients have wisely chosen to protect the top with a made to measure glass sheet.
I hope it serves them well for another 27 happy years.
